I went on a hike with friends up the beautiful Table Rock Mountain here in Boise to perform my cardio this morning. This was an opportunity for me to get in a morning sweat while enjoying nature and detaching from technology. In a world that’s so preoccupied with 24/7 access, it is easy to lose sight of the things that matter the most, like the time spent with loved ones.

Later, we headed to the store in order to get some ingredients to make some healthy high-protein waffles. Remember that if you’re going to have these on rest days like today, you need to adjust your carbohydrates, because you’re only having 0.85 grams per pound of body weight to account for your lack of training.
